Hi All!
Hope everyone is well. We are staying warm up here in the frozen white north! This photo is the most recent one with all of us. Were at the Winter Carnival.... a parade, huge ice sculptures, and tatertot hotdishes (casseroles to you and me). Yum, yum!
Well, I wanted to let you all know that Christian and I will be in town from March 13-25th (Drew will be traveling for work). I would love to see everyone. I will be in touch with Dad.....
Hope to see you soon. Love you all, olivia

Happy Birthday Michaele!

Humm...she must be wondering why Roy Williams didn't give her the only thing she really asked for! A victory by the 'HEELS over those Dookies last night!
Oh well, Happy Birthday anyway...and just wait 'til March 6th!

Great idea! Thanks, Shelton.

I guess first order of business is to let everyone know about Dad's news. After a meeting last Friday evening (1-25-08) including Dad, Shelton and me with Susan Vincent who is the Hickory area franchise owner of Home Instead, we have committed to having a companion/care giver to visit with Dad once a week for three hours on Thursday mornings. Yesterday was their first visit and they accomplished a monumental task--CLEANING OUT THE FRIDGE!! Their duties can range from laundry to cooking, driving to doctor's appointments or shopping, housekeeping, even gardening (this sold us on their service!), basically whatever he needs help with. We are confident this will not only help Dad, but give Shelton and I more peace of mind that he is safe and secure living alone. Along with more regular visits from all of us, he should be well looked after.

Love to hear from everyone,

Michaele

Welcome to the family blog!

Hey everybody. I'll be the first to admit...I'm the worst when it comes to communication. Well, there may be one or two of you that are just as bad as me, but my point is, we should get better at it! I'll wager every one of us has a computer, or at least has regular access to one. These blogs are free and very easy to operate. If I can set one up and post to it in about 5 minutes, I'm sure everyone else can handle it.

We just set up an intra-company blog here at Heroes to help all of the employees get important info easily. It looks like it will be a good tool and very easy to maintain. It occurred to me that this would be a great way for us all (family members) to make announcements, co-ordinate get-to-gathers and generally keep in touch. We had over 20 of us at the house for Christmas and our numbers will only grow. Getting the word out will be harder and harder as the family gets bigger and more spread out. If everyone gets in the habit of checking this blog regularly and making posts of important and interesting news we will all appreciate the greater connectivity within the family.

Sign up! Publish photos and announcements. Comment on the news and let's stay in touch!

Love to all-
Shelton
